September 1st, 2008 · No Comments

YouTube new features. Now offers translation in video descriptions.

YouTube is now offering (or at least experimenting) translation in video descriptions, this new feature helps you to improve your online presence because more people in different languages and countries will know what your videos are for, and with the latest Close Caption function that YouTube has just implemented, you will have a powerful tool to attract more visitors to watch your videos and improve your online visibility around the globe.

Take a look at the next image. Using (a) the English interface, I made a search on YouTube for the term (b) “Publicidad en Internet”, a Spanish phrase that means “Internet Advertising”, as you can see in YouTube search results, you have 2 options where you can select:
(1) Check box to translate automatically all the video descriptions in result pages, or
(2) Click individually each video description to make the translation into your native language.

This second image shows the results after clicking the first check box to translate all the video descriptions in the search results.

As you can see, YouTube is building more powerful tools that are turning a video in a better way to improve your online visibility, and with more than 250 million monthly visitors, YouTube is becoming an excellent tool for your multilingual internet marketing strategies that you can use in your behalf.

Service isn’t still available for all YouTube sites around the world, but you can use it in French, Italian and some more.
